She did not need her eyes to tell her they were somewhere utterly different that her rooms in Paris. The smell of salt and birds in the distance. The light was different as well, soft and unfiltered.
Reinette closed her eyes and will the slight nausea that always come with such travel to pass as she listened to the sound of Jack breathing deeply. After a moment she followed suit.
Even though it was just Jack, there were still appearances to be maintained. She carefully rearranged the tangle of her nightgown at her feet so that when she stood she in no way embarrassed herself. Then she gathered Jack's coat and brought herself standing once more.
"First London. And now Wales. I might call myself a traveler now."
