"Not this time around, no," the Doctor said. He didn't even use cuff links. Why were they in his pocket. Specifically, in the pocket he kept sentimental things like Susan's wedding band, Reinette's letter, and Martha's hair pin. They were shiny and pretty, but not the sort of thing the Doctor would pick up. Certainly not the sort of thing he could keep.
"I told you," he said, looking over the edge of the tiny pins. "I'm the Doctor."
