She could not help but smile, something that was less practiced. Less balanced.

There was something, again, in his expression. Something that tugged at some undefined place in her middle and in her mind. It seemed to pull her towards him, even when Reinette was absolutely certain she was standing still. He was familiar, somehow.
But perhaps that was merely like recognizing like.
Again, she surveyed him. But this time her eyes lingered, that familiarity coming into play.
"Your shirt is rumpled. There is no accounting for the amount of dust on that coat." She reached forward there, her fingers momentarily moving through his hair. "And you are wearing some of the tree you were admiring before."
