The reaction was instant, and she imagined read quite plainly across her features. Her lips pressed, her gaze narrowed and Reinette moved to inform Jack quite plainly that --

She supposed she might have lectured him there. They were certainly skilled enough at it. What she would say he would understand. But she did not.
She only met him, and kissed him softly in return.
