It occurred to Reinette that she held at best a third of the bags that Jack did. And even then it did not seem quite that. She sent him a sharp glance, but did not comment on the matter, choosing instead to follow him into the bedroom.

Still scattered with various oddities the only entirely free space was the bed, and so Reinette deposited the many colored bags there before turning her attention to Jack once more.
