She was so intently focused on defeating the light in question that for a moment -- only a moment, truly -- she was distracted to the point she did not hear Jack come down the stairs. She actually started at the sound of her voice, the door swinging closed with more force than intended.
"Jack," she managed, admirably controlling the surprise in her voice. Of course the word itself was not entirely relevant to his conversation and most likely gave her away all the same.
Reinette turned, silently vowing that she and the 'fridge' would meet again. And soon.
"There are a few items inside. Though I as not entirely certain what they are. Or, in one particular case, what it was.
She took in Jack's damp hair and blue robe. It was an odd, in between sight of dress. She knew him both with clothes and without, but this was something else. Reinette felt herself smile.
"I am not that particular. Surely there is no need to make a place ready for me everywhere we go?"
