It still felt as if someone were pretending to be Jack, and doing a fairly poor job at it. Dressed up in him perhaps, but not quite capturing the man she knew. It was not fair. Reinette was aware of that. And she could not help but think on her own part of it.

But it was still difficult to see.

Reinette made no comment, and worked to keep her features in careful repose. Her only movement was to smooth the lines of Jack's coat. Her gaze met Jack's briefly, encouraging. Her words mirrored her thoughts. There was a small smile.
