He looked down the hall. Been away from what too long? What could he have been parted from that made him forget? Jack? Seemed unlikely. Though a generally good bloke (despite all outward appearances), he wasn't bonded to the Doctor, as far as he could tell. Still the Zero Room would be inviting.

He didn't think it would help, not with time distortion of this magnitude, but it might help Jack. And, really, that was more important, helping someone who needed it. Helping Jack.

They were close, Jack had said. The Doctor wondered just how close. Close enough that his need to take care of him rippled back through the cosmos.

He nodded. "Right, I'll take you there. This way."
